Photos tell the story…

A dozen volunteers spent Sunday morning in one of our favourite places… the majestic Awhitu Central bush reserve.  When we started working here – preparing to plant around the margins of these ancient trees - the area was unfenced, and covered in 3 metre high gorse.  To be honest, it was pretty daunting.  Five years later and we are thrilled (and amazed) at the difference our work has made.  The photos tell the story.  Thanks as always to those who are helping the health of this historic bush – your work will still be visible in hundreds of years!  And special thanks to our Leonie who provided an awesome array of sustaining food ….  (but that was only visible for a VERY short time… )
