At the close of another year, we want to pay tribute to our many Landcare volunteers – all those who sow, weed, bait, trap, pot, plant, and manage our many activities. Thanks especially go to Adam’s dedicated nursery team for all their work over the last twelve months. Our humble potting shed has been the ‘birthplace’ for many thousands of young plants which will soon be putting their roots down all over the Peninsula. So - grateful thanks to each of you who have nurtured these babies throughout the year! Of course plants don’t recognise summer breaks, so if our Landcare sign is out (Tue and Thu 10-12), pop into the nursery - we would love to see you. Happy New Year from Awhitu Landcare to all our friends out there in Kiwiland, doing your bit to care for our precious environment.
